Versapak is proud to be collaborating with Apian, a healthcare drone initiative, founded by NHS Doctors in training.
Apian’s mission is to create a faster, more dependable, and environmentally friendly way to transport medical supplies and pathology tests. In October 2020, the UK Space Agency backed Apian’s drone trial, and since then they have partnered with many NHS trusts.
Apian needed a UN3373 compliant carrier to put inside their drone to transport Covid-19 samples and test kits, and they contacted Versapak for help. We were delighted to assist, and immediately supplied Apian with our Small Insulated Pathology Transport Bag which fits perfectly inside the drone.
Versapak Carriers incorporate VersaShield Antimicrobial Protection to prevent infection, they are made using the highest-quality insulated materials and are UN3373 compliant - providing the perfect solution to transport Covid-19 samples. They also feature a unique tamper evident locking mechanism with security seal ensuring that the contents of the carrier remain tamper free.
“Our stakeholders can be assured that the medical supplies we transport are in the very best of care with Versapak’s leading UN3373 compliant insulated containers. Versapak’s technology will be further utilised when we extend our service to other healthcare related use cases within some of our national NHS projects.” Harry Howe, Business Development Manager at Apian.
